Music fans are ecstatic because this week is jam-packed with new songs and video from some of the top music talents in the world

Featuring Stonebwoy, Black Sherif, Sarkodie, Kidi, Wizkid, Asake and DJ Khaled x Jay Z x Rick Ross x Lil Wayne.

We are highlighting the top releases through our best music of the week. Here’s our round-up of the best tracks and music videos that came across our desks.

Black Sherif – “SOJA

Black Sherif  released a new single titled ‘Soja.’ The record, out via Blacko Management/Empire, is available for streaming and download here: https://music.empi.re/soja

The hip hop-leaning track, produced by Joker Nharnah, is Black Sherif’s second single of the year, following his runaway hit ‘Kwaku The Traveller’ and his third single off his forthcoming debut album dubbed “The Villain I Never Was.” On ‘Soja’, the BET nominated rapper finds himself in a usual reflective mode, telling a story of resilience, esteem, self-love, and remaining focused on one’s journey to the top.

Stonebwoy -GIDIGBA

Stonebwoy, who has recently racked up success with his debut Def Jam smash hit “Therapy”, follows up with the highly anticipated new single “Gidigba,” (Firm and Strong) available through Universal Music Group/Def Jam Recordings. Stream here: https://StoneB.lnk.tt/GIDIGBA

The record, produced by Nigeria’s Phantom, embodies a steady rhythm, as the multiple award-winning Ghanaian artiste discusses male disingenuousness and the implications of remaining unwavering in the midst of difficulties.

“Gidigba” is Stonebwoy’s second single of 2022, following the release of “Therapy” in May, and was accompanied by a summer festival tour in which he headlined eight cities across Europe and North America between June 24 and August 13.

Wizkid ‘Bad To Me’

Wizkid returns in big fashion with his latest single “Bad To Me.” The record highlights the Afrobeats star’s vocal versatility and penchant for a catchy beat. The sultry song, collaboratively produced by P2J and Sammy Soso, is a combustible culmination of elevated seductive energy with heavy underscores of Amapiano. It also sparked quite the heated debate online about amapiano ownership and Nigerian artists’ usage of sound.

Sarkodie ft King Promise-Labadi

Dubbed ‘Labadi’, the mid-tempo Afrobeats amapiano-leaning track features Ghanaian vocalist King Promise and is produced by Nigeria’s DJ Coublon. The song’s debut was accompanied by visuals directed by Babs Direction and Capone, shot in a variety of locations across Ghana and Greece. The visual features lavish ocean scenes and a vacation vibe.
Labadi is heralding his upcoming album Jamz scheduled for release later in November this year.

KiDi ‘Champagne’

Reigning VGMA Artiste KiDi dropped a sizzling video for his “Champagne” song that features Ghanaian actors Adjetey Annan and Nana Ama McBrown.

The video has enjoyed over 400,000 views on YouTube and it’s currently sitting number 4 on Youtube Trending after its release..

 DJ Khaled ‘GOD DID”

God Did’s tracklist reads like a who’s-who of Hip Hop, as legends and hitmakers pour over. God Did ft. Rick Ross, Lil Wayne, JAY-Z, John Legend, and Fridayy.
With every DJ Khaled release comes to an epic rollout. Whereas some artists take a low-key approach to sharing information about their records, Khaled comes like a raging storm to let everyone know that he expects for the release to take over the charts. The megaproducer is one of the most celebrated musicians in Hip Hop as his career’s reach is unlike any other, and for this New Music Friday (August 26), Khaled has finally delivered his star-studded God Did.
