The vice presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has described one of the sites of the 123 community senior high schools being built by the Mahama administration as “a fertile cattle grazing ground.”
After visiting the Sabare Community Senior High School listed as number 81 on the list of 123 schools, Dr. Bawumia said there is “absolutely no work ongoing”.
In a Facebook post, Dr. Bawumia likened the Sabare School fiasco to the case of the five polyclinics the NDC noted in their manifesto to have constructed in the Western region but could not be verified.
The post reads “In the matter of ‘vanishing polyclinics’, another project which seems to have vanished is the Sabare Community Senior High School in the Zabzugu Constituency of the Northern Region. This project was listed as Number 81 on the list of 123 Senior High Schools supposedly being constructed by the government and at ‘different stages of completion’.”
Dr. Bawumia explained that following the release of the list on September 29th by the Mahama government, he visited the supposed site of the School and presented pictorial evidence of what he saw.
“Following the release of the list on 29th September, I visited the supposed Project Site on 22nd October while on my tour of the Zabzugu Constituency with Member of Parliament for the Constituency, John Bennam,” he wrote.
