Uganda Cranes has resumed their preparations for the AFCON 2017 finals on Monday with Aerobic drills at Paradise Fitness Gym and ball sessions at Kabira Country Club in Bukoto.

 

A total of 27 players reported for duty as the team entered residential camp at Serene Suite in Mutundwe, the same hotel that was used before the final game in the qualifiers against Comoros.

 

“It is good enough we have started early enough. It is so early to impress,” noted the head coach, Milutin Sredejovic.

 

“The good thing all the players in the country (except two) we expected reported for training,” he added.

 

Apart from midfielder Tonny Mawejje who lost his aunty and defender Murushid Jjuuko (still recovering from head injury), all the other players around the country including former St George player, Isaac Isinde trained.

Training for the next days will be double session before the Christmas break only on the 25th December 2016.

 

Resources permitting, the team will fly out for two training camps in Tunisia and Dubai towards the start of the new year, 2017.
