Multi-talented songstress Kati G has released her cover for Runtown’s popular song ‘Mad Over You’ in two different versions.
The renditions are in Piano and Afro dancehall versions. The Piano version features Opoku Mensah while the Afro dancehall version features Qube.
The artiste, who has received wide recognition for the soothing tone of her voice, has already been associated with key contemporary acts including Okyeame Kwame, and dancehall singer Epixode.
The Berklee College of Music graduate told Starrfmonline.com that “I decided to join the Mad Over You Hype and do my own renditions. [There is] so many versions so I decided to have fun and try for myself. “
Some months ago, Kati G won the hearts of many with the cover of Joey B’s ‘You and me’, ‘Skin tight’ by Mr. Eazi, Flavor’s ‘Baby You’ and Teckno’s Pana.
The songstress’ powerful vocals remind music lovers of the artiste Raquel and Kati G is gradually filling her missing place.
Born to a Ghanaian mother and father based in the US, at age eight, Catherine Eno Adutwumwaa Owusu-Sakyi – her real name – began her music career when she decided to learn how to play the cello and clarinet.
The following year, she decided to focus on specializing in one of the instruments. The instrument she chose was the cello. Within the next 15 years, she groomed herself into a cellist.
Although she studied the cello for many years, her passion for music also pushed her to pursue skills in rapping, singing, composing and producing music. Those musical talents of hers eventually gained her admission into Berklee College of Music.
