Samsung has invented an 8-Point Battery Safety Check to avert future battery faults.

The phone manufacturer last year recalled over 2.5 million Galaxy Note 7 devices due to several reported cases of overheating or outright explosions during charging.

It led to the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) banning the use of Samsung Galaxy Note 7 on all airlines operating in Ghana.

Even though Samsung official shops in the country did not retail the Note 7, it announced to all persons who had brought the devices into the country to return it for either replacement or refund.

The Marketing Manager at Samsung Electronics West Africa (SEWA), Tracy Kyei told Starr Business in an interview that the measure put in place, would deal with all future battery issues.

She spoke at the sideline of the launch of the Galaxy A smartphones in Ghana. The phone offers premium design and enhanced camera features.

The Galaxy A (2017) which is available in the Ghanaian market incorporates Samsung’s latest  innovative design and technology, giving consumers the ability to express their individuality with powerful performance in three screen size options: 5.5-inch for the A7, 5.2-inch for the A5 and 4.7-inch for the A3.

“At Samsung, we are committed to continued innovation, inspired by the feedback and needs of our wide range of consumers,” said Kyei,  adding: “With the introduction of the Galaxy A (2017), we took the consumer feedback on our original Galaxy A models and made thoughtful and impactful improvements offering consumers a seamless convergence of style, convenience and performance comparable to the most premium smartphones in the market today.”

The Galaxy A (2017) continues the latest Samsung Galaxy design heritage, combining metal and glass to create a beautifully harmonious premium design. The new Galaxy A provides superior viewing experience with the narrower bezel.

Another feature on the Galaxy A is the secure folder which allows consumer to have two separate WhatsApp accounts using both SIM. This is a breath of fresh air for consumers who need to have two WhatApp account for personal and business but would prefer to have one phone.
