The Inspector General of Police(IGP), David Asante-Apeatu, paid a visit to the family house of the late Sam Arday to sign the book of condolence ahead of his final funeral rights on April 7.
He was accompanied by the top brass of the Ghana Police Service Commissioners to pay respect to their former colleague of the service.
The IGP said: ”Coach Sam Arday was an outstanding and distinguished officer, who served the nation diligently in various capacities from 1967 to 2000, when he voluntarily retired from the police service.
”His dedication to duty, hard work and discipline was evident in the many awards to his credit and also raising the image of the Ghana Police Service.”
Meanwhile, a customized funeral cloth for the late Arday has been unveiled, one will be used on Friday April 7 for the funeral services and the other design will be used on Sunday, April 9 during the Thanksgiving service.
The funeral cloth printed by Akosombo Textiles Limited (ATL) is on sale at the Ghana Football Secretariat(GFA).
