The Special Aide to former president John Mahama, Joyce Bawa Mogtari has vehemently rejected claims by her “sister” Gender, Children and Social Protection Minister, Otiko Afisa Djaba that she is the cause of a past rift between the latter (Otiko) and their mother.
Speaking on Asempa FM Wednesday Ms Djaba accused the former transport Minister of the bitterness existing between her and their mother.
“Strangers went and removed my things, so, I called my mum and I told her that: ‘You’ve evicted me from your house, you’ve evicted me from your life.’ And she apologised for allowing that to happen without my knowledge. So people out there, you don’t know my story, so, don’t use politics to go there,” she said.
But commenting on the development on Starr Chat on Wednesday March 8, 2017, the former deputy transport minister said Ms Djaba’s assertions are preposterous.
“Otiko lied, I’m not responsible for the rift between her and our mother,” Mrs. Bawa Mogtari told Bola Ray, the show host adding that “it is palpably false.”
“I refuse to reduce my public discourse to domestic issues that really have no place in our public lives. Above all nothing of this sort happened. Ever. Absolutely not and certainly has nothing to with me. I don’t even have any recollection of any such thing,” she said lucidly.
