The West Africa Football Academy (WAFA) lads humbled Kumasi Asante Kotoko by beating them by 2-0 at the Red Bull arena in Sogakope on Wednesday.

The first department of play ended goalless despite many attempts by the WAFA boys with numerous goal scoring opportunities.

WAFA scored their first goal through Prince Obeng Ampem in the 59th and in the 67th minute Daniel Lomotey increased the tally to two after he pounced on a rebound.

Kotoko came under pressure like a raging fire without getting an antidote to the arsenals of WAFA.

With this scoreline, WAFA are now the current leaders on the league table with 46-points after 24-matches.

The league resumes this weekend with some interesting pairings across eight centers with the attraction being the ‘Mantse’ derby between Great Olympics versus Hearts of Oak.
