Scores of opposition NDC members will today storm the Northern regional capital Tamale for a walk which will be led by Former President John Mahama.
The ‘unity’ walk is aimed at closing the ranks of the umbrella family and building bridges that were broken in the party before and during the 2016 electioneering.
This is the first time the NDC is organising such an event since they lost power to the NPP by a significant margin in December 2016.
The former President has not declared his intention about leading the party again for future elections, but inside critics believe the walk and other moves being made by Mahama are indications of a desire to hold on to the party leadership.
The NDC is yet to declare dates for its congress to elect national executives and a presidential candidate.
