Bukom Banku believes Ghana’s greatest ever boxing accolade should go to former WBA Welterweight Champion Ike ‘Bazooka’ Quartey and not hall of famer Azumah Nelson.
According to Banku despite the country producing great boxers such as Azumah Nelson, Ike Quartey he insists the latter is a great boxer
“I like his jabs, punches, foot works and everything he does in boxing. He is a great boxer and I like him no two ways about that.
“I have sparred with him many times before he fought for the world title. To me he is the best boxer ever in Ghana full of experience,” he told Starr FM.
Meanwhile, Bastie “The Beast” Samir ended Bukom Banku’s unbeaten run, by Technically Knocking him out in round seven of their cruiser weight bout on Saturday night at the Bukom Boxing Arena.
