The Nursing and Midwifery Council has dissociated itself from a statement that suggested that it has released the admission quota for the various nursing training schools in the country.
The fake statement had announced numbers of students that are permissible for the various schools in the 2018/19 academic year.
However, the Nursing and Midwifery Council in a counter statement called on the nursing schools to ignore the supposed admission numbers since it did not come from them.
“The attention of the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Ghana has been drawn to a letter purporting to give directives on the 2018/2019 admission quota for the Nursing and Midwifery Training Colleges.
“The said letter did not originate from the Council.
“We therefore respectfully entreat the general public to disregard it. Members of the Public who desire any information regarding Nursing and Midwifery training may contact the Council through the following numbers: 0302 522909/10, 0302541423
050107903”.
