The youth of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Shama District towns of Abuesi and Aboadze have called for the sacking of the District Chief Executive (DCE) for the area.

According to them, they can no longer work with Joseph Amoah as the DCE of the Shama District of the Western Region because he failed to get them employed by companies operating within his jurisdiction.

Acting as the spokesperson of the group at a presser Monday, a polling station executive of the NPP in the District Isaac Kofi Afful, observed further that the DCE has constantly overlooked the chiefs and assembly members of the area anytime employment opportunities emerge from the power companies that operate in the District.

The DCE, he said, has sowed anger among the youth of the governing party in the District, stating the only way that anger could be tamed is to get rid of the DCE.

“Nana Akufo-Addo, your Excellency, the DCE is killing your policies, your initiatives,” he said, adding “because of the selfish nature of our DCE, we are seeking for his removal.”
