The Member of Parliament for Ablekuma West, Mrs Ursula Owusu-Ekuful in partnership with the Ministry of Special Development Initiatives is constructing three modern toilet facilities and Mechanized Water Systems in the Ablekuma West Constituency.
Work is progressing steadily on the 10-seater water closet facilities at the Glefe (Sea Defence) and Ebenezer Secondary School sites at the moment. A third site is being cleared for work to commence soon.
On completion, each of the toilet facilities will have in-built mechanized boreholes and a solar system.
Under this arrangement, three other communities; Nasarawa, Akweibu and Gbegbeyise are getting mechanized water systems which will provide a regular water supply for residents. Work is ongoing in all three locations and the project is expected to be completed very soon for commissioning.
The project is part of efforts to enhance sanitary conditions in the beneficiary communities.
