Member of Parliament for Gomoa East Constituency, Hon Kojo Asemanyi has donated over 90,000 GHS to Drivers, Tertiary Students and also 300 dual desks to pupils in his Constituency on Monday, September 2019 in a short ceremony held at Gomoa Potsin.
As part of contributing to the Drivers License Support Initiative(DLSI) the young legislature gave out 30,000 GHS to aid scores of drivers to acquire various Licences under the (DLSI) which was started some two years ago.
Asemanyi went ahead to donate 60,000 GHS to the Tertiary Education Support Fund( TESF)which is to propel 60 students to pursue their various degrees and Diploma courses in Tertiary Institutions. This gesture has seen over 200,000 GHS spent so far on 200 students in the Constituency.
However education being the focus of the NPP government, Hon, Asemanyi went ahead to donate 300 dual desks to over nine Junior High Schools (JHS) with 700 more dual desks to be distributed in the coming days.
Among some of the schools that benefitted had; Nyanyano D/A,Kojo Oku D/A, Kakraba Zion, Buduburam Model B, Adabra D/A,Potsin D/A, Adzintem D/A et al.
According, to Hon. Asemanyi he is hopeful his second term will see his people advance in all walks of life with these donations.
“My constituency is the fastest growing one and as a young man I will like to help the people to attain greatness, so tomorrow if I am no more my good work will yield good fruits for the whole country to benefit but foremost the ruling NPP government,” he told the press.
