Football Kenya Federation boss Nick Mwendwa and head coach David Ouma are confident that Harambee Starlets will record a positive result when Kenya host Ghana in their Olympic Qualifier on Tuesday.

Starlets held their final training session on Monday 7 October ahead of the second leg this coming after jetting back on Sunday and according to coach David Ouma the expectations of getting a positive result are high.

“I am happy with how my team played in Ghana as we had good defence organization that hindered Ghana chances to score against us. I have high expectations for a positive result in the game tomorrow since we are playing at home, in familiar grounds.

“We have learned Ghana’s strengths and weaknesses as a team and will use them to our advantage,” Ouma is quoted by the federations portal.

On his part, Mwendwa said: “Ghana is a strong team that has reached the World Cup and had never drawn with any other team so far apart from us, therefore, I feel the team is ready to play the game and give us a positive result.”

Starlets held Ghana to a goalless draw in the first leg held in Accra last Friday with the match on Tuesday set to kick off at 4 pm EAT at the MISC Kasarani stadium with free entry.
