The Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) has urged all pensioners to ensure that their names are biometrically registered with the Trust or have their names deleted from its records.

In a statement on Facebook, SSNIT said pensioners who do not comply with the order will not receive their pension payments in the month of February.

“All pensioners who fail to register by the deadline will have their names deleted from the pensions payroll by 1 February and pensioners whose names are deleted from the payroll will not receive their pension payments for the month of February,” the statement said.

The biometric registration is to help prevent fraud and wastage in the payment and data administration.
