The last two games of the Ghana Premier League week 12 were played on Thursday with Legon Cities and Karela United engaging each other while Medeama SC hosted Accra Hearts of Oak.
Having last downed Heats of Oak 375 days ago playing for Asante Kotoko, Justice Blay helped Medeama picked all three points at home over the Phobians.
The Mauve and Yellow team have now toppled Hearts into the ninth position on the league title while the latter have slotted into 10th.
The game between Cities and Karela had little action recorded at the Accra Sports Stadium as they settle for a goalless draw.
Asamoah Gyan missed his seventh game in a row and his absence continues to be a strong cause for concern in the team.
Kwame Boateng and Diawise Taylor both failed to add up to their league tallies, with the latter failing to score in another visit to the country’s capital.
The away side are now one point above second-place Great Olympics ahead of match-day 13, while Legon Cities are two points above the relegation zone.
