A headteacher believed to be in his late 40s has been shot dead in his car while returning from a Census training at Cape Coast in the Central Region.

The incident happened around 9:30 pm on Saturday evening.

He was reportedly shot and killed at a close range upon reaching home.

Eyewitnesses who spoke with Kasapa News’ Yaw Boagyan suspect he was assassinated.

The deceased, Yaw Eyifua Gorman, according to reports, was a headteacher at Cape Coast.

The body of the deceased has been deposited at the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital morgue for autopsy.

Meanwhile, the Cape Coast Police Command has begun investigation into the incident.
