Clinical Psychologist, Ethel Obeng–Treve, known in her specialized field as Ethel the Psychologist, is the new host of Starr FM’s Saturday morning family lifestyle show ‘Family Central’.

The 90-minutes show is designed to help families improve on care and advice to positively affect homes.

According to management of the station, the objective of the show is to help shape parenting (single or couple) and marriage conversations for young couples and new homes. It will also focus on fruitful dialogue to improve the moral and psychological wellbeing of homes and also seek to influence societal norms and values over time.

The show targets persons in the middle class who are couples or would-be couples as well as newlyweds and fresh parents. It is billed to air every Saturday morning from 6:30 am to 8 am.

About Ethel the Psychologist

Ethel Obeng-Treve is a young Ghanaian Clinical Psychologist with special competencies and interest in child psychology.

She has a PhD Student (Psychology) from the University of Ghana, Legon, MSc Clinical Child Psychology from Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge and BA Psychology (Major), Philosophy from the University of Ghana, Legon.

Mrs Obeng- Treve has worked as a School Psychologist and Consultant. She worked as a counselor at Lancaster University Ghana, a Clinical Psychologist at Brain Clinic and the general manager at Brain Clinic.

She is a wife and a mother of two with extensive knowledge on parenting and improving the welfare of mothers and children.
