David Abagna’s strike denied Kotoko the three maximum points at the Baba Yara Stadium in their match day eight tie of the Ghana Premier League.

Kotoko had to struggle again from change of gameplan to squandering clear cut chances.

Christopher Nettey picked up an injury which forced coach Ogum to effect an unwanted substitution in the first half. The defender got replaced by Sheriff Mohammed in the 37th minute.

Just before the half time whistle, Georges Mfuege was brought down in the penalty area which presented Kotoko an opportunity to take the lead from the spot but Ismail Ganiyu couldn’t make it count from the resultant penalty.

However, the Porcupine Warriors looked more purposeful in the second half as Frank Etouga came through with a fine finish to give Kotoko the lead, just a couple of minutes into the second half.

Their attempt to double the lead failed due to the brilliance of goalkeeper Osei Yaw in goal for RTU.

David Abagna met a rebound on the 70th minute and smashed it into the roof of the net to restore parity.

The goal puts him back on top of the goalscorers chart with seven goals but keeps Kotoko on the third position with an outstanding match to clear.

Kumasi Asante Kotoko is now on a three game winless streak.
