General Secretary of the Ghana Football Association, Prosper Harrison Addo has charged all stakeholders to join the fight against match manipulation amid persistent cases of alleged match fixing cases in recent weeks.

After last season’s incident between AshGold and Inter Allies, one would have thought that, the issue of match fixing would be put to bed but some suspicious results have left many to still question the integrity of the league.

In an interview on the sidelines of the Ramadan Cup launch at the Kempenski Hotel with GHOne TV, Prosper Harrison Addo said, the association is not an island but includes all football stakeholders hence everybody has a responsibility to protect the integrity of the game.

“Any person who comes out public with an information on a Monday(after the match has been played) that before a match was played on Sunday, he heard something and he kept it to himself and only comes out on Monday is not a helper of the game. Any person whatsoever your position in association football is, if you hear something like that, we’ve trained all the clubs. Every club is supposed to have an integrity officer, We’ve trained them, we’ve trained the referees, we’ve trained everybody in the game and so you know what to do”.

“Platforms are available. You can send your emails, you can call. If you refuse to call and you come lamenting on Monday as if you are not part of the game, then I am sorry, you are not fit to be in Association football, you cant wait for it to happen and later come and talk as if you are a stranger to the game.” he concluded.
