General secretary for the GFA, Prosper Harrison Addo, has warned betting companies that include Ghana Premier League matches on ther sites to get ready for a legal battle soon.

There has been a number of reports on some manipulated Ghana Premier League matches in recent times against the backdrop of The AshGold and Inter Allies match fixing saga that occurred  at the tail end of last season.

The GFA per reports indicate would bring the verdict on the matter out soon following investigations.

For such incidents to be curbed, Prosper Harrison Addo believes, the betting companies are complicits in all of this and must be made to face the full rigours of the law .

According to him, none of these betting companies have the right to include the Ghana Premier League on their sites.

“The betting companies are not left alone(out in dealing with match fixing). We’ve given the warning already so next time; there wouldn’t be any warning. Those betting companies who are unethically betting, we’ve not given anybody permission and so very soon we will drag them to court.

“Because, we have not given any company permission to do betting on our game(s). So, as far as I am concerned, there shouldn’t be any betting in our Ghanaian game so for those who are doing that, we’ve gathered our evidence and we will see them in court.” he continued.
