Several residents in the Buipe township have been rendered homeless after flood waters from the black Volta lake submerged their homes in the Central Gonja District.
The volume of water entering the Buipe township has been increasing on a daily basis.
The situation has halted economic activities in two main market squares of the commercial town in the savannah region.
