The Member of Parliament for OkaikweI Central, Yaw Patrick Boamah has donated Five thousand Ghana cedis (5,000) to the Ghana Supporters Union ahead of Qatar 2022 World cup.
“Today at my residence, I received a courtesy call by the Ghana Supporters, a body formed to mobilize support and raise awareness of the Ghana Black Stars qualification to the Fifa World Cup 2022 tournament which will be played in Qatar.
“In a brief discussion with the executives led by the General Secretary Kassim Awal, I pledged my unwavering support to the team and presented the group with a sum of Five thousand Ghana cedis 5,000,” the lawmaker indicated in Facebook post.
According to him, the donation is to aid them mount a flag to raise awareness for Ghanaians to rally behind the Black Stars.
“I used the opportunity to extend my best wishes to the Senior National Soccer team, the Black Stars of Ghana as they prepare for the best football tournament in the World,” Mr. Boamah added.
However, the MP earlier organized a Football Gala for the Mechanics from the five electoral areas in his constituency.
Sixteen teams (16) participated in this year’s edition of his sponsored Football Gala.
