The Ghana Grid Company has said a raging bushfire under its high-voltage lines near Tarkwa caused Saturday’s power outage.
A statement by GRIDCo said a fire tender from Tarkwa Goldfields was quickly dispatched to control the raging flames.
Meanwhile, restoration of the grid commenced immediately and efforts are ongoing to restore power to all affected areas, GRIDCo said in its statement.
