The Member of Parliament for Ketu South, Abla Dzifa Gomashie has upgraded a CHPS compound at Anoenu in the Ketu South Municipality.
Hitherto, the facility was operating in a single room and a shed provided by the former MP for the area Albert Kwasi Zigah in 2010 but has now been upgraded with additional infrastructure bringing it to three offices, two modern WC toilets, as well as a mechanised borehole with storage tank to ensure regular supply of water to the facility.
The MP also presented some medical supplies to the Ketu South Municipal Directorate of the Ghana Health Service for onward distribution to facilities in the area.
In her speech, the MP recounted some of her interventions in support of quality health service delivery in the area and assured the people of her readiness to do more.
She indicated also that, the upgrade of the CHPS compound forms part of her contribution to improving access to quality healthcare and also to address issues of maternal and infant mortality in the Municipality.
Joseph Degley, the Director of Health for Ketu South commended the MP for her commitment and support towards service delivery in the Municipality and also urged to own and maintain the facility to ensure access to basic healthcare services.
