The Ministry of Health and the Ghana Health Service (GHS) on Saturday took delivery of the first consignment of Measles vaccines, BCG vaccines and Oral Polio Vaccines.

Parents of unvaccinated babies are being turned away from health facilities over the shortage of the vaccines.

Vaccines for measles, polio, and tetanus have not been available for a while now due to financial challenges.

However, in a Facebook post on Saturday March 11, 2023, the Ministry of Information indicated that distribution of the vaccines to various regions and facilities is underway.

The Ministry further assured that “more vaccines expected in Ghana in the coming weeks from multiple sources.”
