A businessman and entrepreneur Mensah Brown Hafasoulnia Akyea has declared his intention to contest New Juaben North Parliamentary primaries of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) in Eastern region.

The constituency is a stronghold of the NPP who have occupied the seat since 1996.

The incumbent MP Nana Adjei Boateng who took over from Hackman Owusu Agyemang in 2012 may not contest for a fourth term bid.

So far, three persons including the Eastern Regional Minister Seth Kwame Acheampong are reported to be interested to contest.

However, Mensah Brown Hafasoulnia Akyea believes he is the best man for the job and hope of the youth to bring total transformation and development to the people.

“I have become the hope for every home at New Juaben North Constituency and every home in Ghana that every young man and woman out there will hear my story and be inspired by the story and do something better for their lives, most especially now that some youth think you need to wait for someone before doing something better in their lives.”

He said, it is time for the youth to lead since the older folks have demonstrated little commitment to shape the future of the youth.

“I am coming to impact lives improve, education, Security, good health, develop the human capacity of the youth in diverse ways”.

As talented musician ,one of Mensah Brown Hafasoulnia Akyea’s vision is to embark on talent hunt among the youth to support them unearth these talents to change their lives.

“As a musician myself I have passion for talents. I will build music studio to help underground musicians in the Constituency facilitate collaboration and features with popular artists to push them out to the lamplight. Help those with sports talents and connect them to football clubs both locally and abroad and other disciplines.”

When asked if he is a known member of the NPP with good standing in New Juaben North, he answered in affirmative explaining that “from a tender age of me when Hon. Hackman Owusu Agyemang picked me and my late grandfather Nana AKwasi Adie of Jumapo, for camping and voting with my grandfather made me develop passion for helping people and politics. It’s therefore not a mistake when I pursued psychology and political science at the university of Ghana to prepare me for this day”.

He continued that “from Jumapo Methodist primary and Junior High School, I started to serve as a leader when I founded the Omega sectors, the main reason for that group was how we can use our talents to raise money to support my school mates. Out of this initiative many home in Jumapo benefited, by sending some of them to secondary school paying fees and getting young guy to do town cleaning at back then”.

He went on that “Due to my hard work and humility, DCE for Asesewa and new Juaben North, told the president that I have given them hope about the youth of Ghana. It is not for any thing all because of how I carried myself and helped them at jubilee house and some NPP political programs, including Our own NPP chairman for the region. l serve with humility”.

Mensah Brown Hafasoulnia Akyea stated that, as a business owner and entrepreneur, rising from the ground to higher height, he will leverage on his experience and business connections to create more job opportunities and raise entrepreneurs from the constituency.

He is also assured to created a sustainable source of funding for the party to support welfare of delegates and remunerate the executives with stipends to motivate them.
