Deputy ranking member on the Education Committee in Parliament, Dr. Clement Apaak has disclosed that the sacked student of Adisadel College violent attack has been recalled back to the school.

This comes on the back of a section of the public faulting the school authorities and the Ghana Education Service for sacking the student over the incident.

Child Rights International has said the Ghana Education Service (GES) has erred in handling the Adisadel College student violence.

One of the students has subsequently been asked to leave but will be allowed to write the final exams in the name of the school.

But speaking on Starr Today with Joshua Kodjo Mensah, the Executive Director for Child Right International, Bright Appiah said the school authority and the GES should use the appropriate means to address the matter.

Commenting on the matter, the Builsa South Member of Parliament commended the recent decision to recall the student back.

“Adisco – The victim of that act of barbaric violence in the viral video, which caused a national uproar, rightly so, has been recalled back to school and is receiving counselling.

“His suspension, which was ill informed, has been reversed; the right thing to do. We wish him well,” Dr. Apaak stated in a tweet.

An Adisadel College student was seen being choked by a colleague and his head being hit against a metal bed in the dormitory.
