President Akufo-Addo is scheduled to present the State of the Nation Address (SONA) to Parliament on Tuesday, February 27, 2024.
This presentation adheres to Article 67 of the 1992 Constitution, which requires the President to address Parliament on the State of the Nation at the commencement of each session and preceding Parliament’s dissolution.
His address is in accordance with this constitutional mandate, the President will assess the nation’s status at the onset of each session and before Parliament’s dissolution.
President Akufo-Addo is also expected to outline the government’s primary policy objectives for the year ahead and provide insights into its strategies for addressing the state of the economy.
Ghanaians are expecting that the President will touch on a number policies which include the government’s key policy priorities for the upcoming year and the specific measures intended to enhance the current economic situation among others.
