Ghana has suffered a significant drop in the FIFA World Rankings following their recent games during the March international break.

The Black Stars, led by Otto Addo, suffered a 2-1 loss against the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) runners-up Nigeria and a 2-2 draw with Uganda’s Cranes during the March International break.

Ghana, who previously ranked 67th globally, have now dropped to 68th with 1358.77 points on the log following the two games.

The United Arab Emirates has surpassed Ghana in global rankings with 1366.45 points.

Despite a seven-game winless streak, Black Stars maintain their African continent position, dropping to 14th in the CAF rankings.

The top 15 teams in Africa remain unchanged, with Morocco, Senegal, and Nigeria currently holding the top three spots.

Ghana will face Mali and the Central African Republic in the upcoming 2026 World Cup qualifiers in June.
