Tuesday’s heavy downpour has left one of the Circuit Courts in Accra in tatters after its ceiling was left fallen apart.
Fortunately, no court staff or court user was affected by the sudden collapse of the ceiling on Tuesday, April 23, 2024.
But, for the fact that Circuit Court 8 (the affected Court) was not in session, it would have been a disaster.
The impact of the fallen ceilings was well felt as they dropped to the floor and on the charges in the Courtroom during the rains.
The electrical cables in the courtroom were left visibly exposed moments after the incident occurred.
EIB Network Legal Affairs Correspondent, Murtala Inusah, is reporting that the incident occurred in one of the storey building facilities that was recently renovated.
