Coach of the Black Stars, Otto Addo, has indicated he expects Ghanaians to throng the Baba Yara stadium to support the Black Stars in their crucial match against the Central African Republic.

Otto Addo addressing the media in the prematch press conference is urging fans to fill the stadium with unwavering support as the team takes on their opponents in Kumasi on Monday at 19:00 GMT.

Addo recounted the atmosphere in hisast game in Kumasi when Ghana took on Nigeria during the playoff final for the 2022 World Cup.

He recounted the vital role the fans played in motivating team in securing a vital draw with the Super Eagles and securing a spot in the World Cup.

“I was truly overwhelmed by the support we received last time we played here. It exceeded my expectations,” Addo said.

“Support should be unwavering, irrespective of the outcome, and Kumasi has consistently demonstrated this loyalty.”

“Even in challenging times, I have no doubt that our fans will stand by us,” he added.

Ghana needs to secure victory to move to the summit of the table in Group I of the World Cup qualification series.
