Ghana’s final push to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games came to an end in Bangkok Thailand.

Ghana will not have a boxing representation at the Paris Olympic Games after the country’s last hope, Ornella Sathoud lost her Women’s Middleweight bout in the ongoing qualifiers.

She lost 0-5 on a unanimous point decision to Shierleidis Orozco of Columbia.

In the men’s category, Theophilus Kpakpo Allotey also lost in a split 2-3 controversial judges decision of round of 16 action against Chuang Liu of China in men’s flyweight -51Kg.

He thus misses out on the Paris Olympic Games dream.

All 7 boxers who were set to represent the country have unfortunately lost in their respective bouts.

It’s the first time since the Athens Games in 2004 (20 years) that Ghana will not be sending boxers to the Olympic Games.
