An Okada rider has been killed in a fatal accident on the Accra-Kumasi Highway near Star Oil in Suhum in the Eastern Region while three passengers aboard a Sprinter bus were injured.
The crash occurred Monday, June 10 at about 2:30 pm.
The accident involved a long vehicle truck with registration number GT6359-24, traveling from Accra to Kumasi.
The truck suffered a tire burst, leading to a fatal collision after the driver lost control of the steering wheel.
The vehicle ran over the Okada rider, killing him instantly, and also collided with a sprinter bus with registration number GC 7652-20, resulting in injuries to three passengers.
The lifeless body of the Okada rider has been transported to the Suhum Government Hospital mortuary.
The injured individuals were receiving treatment at the same hospital.
Police are investigating the incident to determine the exact cause.
