Ghana has been drawn into Pot 1 for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifications, which will take place in Morocco.

This put Ghana alongside powerhouses like African champions Ivory Coast, and host nation Morocco, Senegal, and Egypt.

The pot has divided 48 qualified teams into four pots, with engaged teams grouped into four pots of 12.

The qualifiers draw will consist of 12 groups of 4 teams (Group A to L) with Morocco’s first and runners-up in the eleven groups qualifying for the competition.

The four-time champions, the Black Stars are aiming for a favorable draw to secure qualification to Morocco, aiming to end their trophy drought.

Ghana has not won the trophy since 1982 and has been eliminated in the group stage in Cameroon and Ivory Coast in the last two editions.
