The Ghanaian gospel music collective, Team Eternity Ghana, has announced the sudden passing of one of its cherished members, Nhyira Marfo. The collective, known for its powerful ministry through music, shared the heartbreaking news in a recent statement that underscored their faith in God’s comfort during this difficult time.
Team Eternity Ghana has gained recognition for their commitment to spreading the Christian faith through their soul-stirring lyrics and transformative melodies. The group’s music has resonated with many, offering solace and spiritual growth to their listeners. Since their formation, they have been dedicated to uplifting spirits and nurturing a profound commitment to the Christian faith.
The group’s first album, Sound of Eternity, released in 2022, marked their official entry into the gospel music scene. The 14-track album, featuring artists such as Lordina, Pastor Isaiah, and EBEN, is a reflection of the collective’s unwavering faith and devotion to God. Their most recent album, Testimony, has catapulted them to new heights, with the hit single “Defe Defe” topping various music charts in Ghana and making waves on the global music market.
In their statement, Team Eternity Ghana quoted 2 Timothy 4:7 from the New International Version of the Bible: “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith,” to honor Nhyira’s memory. They expressed their deep grief while also affirming their reliance on God’s comfort, as referenced in Matthew 28:20: “…surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
