Member of Parliament for Adaklu Constituency, Kwame Governs Agbodza has issued a blistering warning to the Minister of Agriculture Bryan Acheampong over comments he made regarding the ruling New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) attempts to use any means possible to win the upcoming election in December.
This comes on the back of Bryan Acheampong, Member of Parliament for Abetifi Constituency promised that his party will adopt any means necessary to win Election 2024, adding that anyone who was unsatisfied with the comment could “go and burn the sea”.
In response to the comment at a mini-rally in Adaklu, Mr. Agbodza cautioned his colleague in parliament against engaging in any acts that seek to threaten the stability of the country.
“The current commander in chief appears to lose control to the extent that some miscreants in his government are threatening the peace and security of the country. I’m talking about my colleague in parliament, Honourable Bryan Acheampong, threatening that the sea will burn because they are going to try to rig the election.
“I have a simple message for you my colleague: Just as you have been defeated in the hostile overtake of the hotels belonging to SSNIT, you will surely fail if you try to use force to do anything,” he warned.
The Adaklu MP was convinced that the presidential candidate of his party was going to return to the presidency in 2025.
“President Mahama will win,” he predicted. “And President Akufo-Addo will have to hand over to him and your party has no business trying to hold on to power.”
He reminded Ghanaians about what he described as attempts by the ruling government to rig the election through violence.
