Juventus Duorinaah is the first Ghanaian deaf lawyer. Mr. Juventus Duorinaah hails from Wa in the Upper West Region. He had his basic education at the Wa School for the Deaf. In 2007, Mr. Duorinaah completed his education at the Senior High Technical School for the Deaf (SHTSD). He then pursued a degree in Sociology and Political Science at the University of Ghana, graduating with first-class honors. He went on to pursue a Master of Laws at the School of Law and Politics, Cardiff University, focusing on Human Rights Law.
Upon returning to Ghana, he pursued a law degree (LLB) at the University of Ghana, from which he graduated with second-class lower honors. He then successfully passed the entrance exams and entered the Ghana School of Law. After six years of legal education, with determination and perseverance, Mr. Duorinaah was called to the bar.
This significant accomplishment represents a milestone for the deaf community, as Mr. Duorinaah’s expertise will allow him to comprehensively understand and advocate for the rights of deaf individuals. Mr. Juventus Duorinaah is now a lawyer, and his achievement is a testament to his hard work and dedication. Congratulations to Mr. Duorinaah on this remarkable accomplishment.
