Ghanaian musician Maradona Yeboah Adjei, popularly known as Guru NKZ, has expressed his support for Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s digitalization policy. Speaking in an interview with Amansan Krakye, Guru highlighted the importance of forward-thinking policies in shaping the future of the nation.

“The reason why we vote is because of the policies and ideologies of someone, and if the world is going digital and someone says he wants to take me more into the digital world, I would support him,” Guru stated.

He emphasized that Ghana should not regress but move forward with policies that aim to solve current issues, particularly those related to the economy. Guru explained that he supports Dr. Bawumia’s policy because it focuses on creating jobs and stabilizing the economy, which could alleviate pressure on the country’s falling currency.

“I would not want my country to go backwards, and if someone tells me my monetary issues aren’t sound, he wants to do what will create more jobs,” he added. “The jobs that will be created will neutralize the pressure on our falling currency, and I see the policy to be very effective, I will go with it.”

Guru also clarified that his support is based on the merit of the policy, not out of any personal agenda or hatred, adding, “If you see me taking certain steps, those steps were taken on purpose and not based on hatred. So, tomorrow, if the policies work out perfectly, it’ll help all of us.”
