President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has officially appointed Mr. Herbert Krapa as Ghana’s Minister for Energy, with the appointment taking effect on Tuesday, November 19, 2024. This was announced in a statement released by the Communications Directorate of the Jubilee House.

Having served as Minister of State at the Ministry of Energy since July 15, 2024, Mr. Krapa has been acknowledged for his unwavering dedication and expertise.

In a statement released on November 20, 2024, and signed by Eugene Arhin, Director of Communications at the Office of the President, the President commended Mr. Krapa for demonstrating “a steadfast commitment to his duties,” which has significantly advanced Ghana’s energy sector.

President Akufo-Addo expressed his confidence in Mr. Krapa’s ability to lead the ministry effectively, noting, “Mr. Krapa will continue to distinguish himself in his new role, ensuring the continued growth and transformation of the energy sector in service to the nation.”
