Staff of leading Professional Services Network in the world PwC as part of its corporate social responsibility, has donated food items and building materials to the New Life Children’s Home in Nungua and Chosen Children’s Home in Darkuman ahead of the yuletide and New Year celebrations.
Items included bags of rice, oil, biscuits, drinks, toiletries, building materials were among the items that were donated.
Presenting the items, the Human Capital Leader with PwC Ghana Hayfron Aboagye said the gesture aligns with the company’s mission to give back to society and spread joy during the festive season.
“Christmas is a season of giving and receiving love, and this is PwC’s way of offering love and support to the underprivileged children. We believe in spreading joy and hope to everyone during the holidays, and we aim to achieve that through this donation,” he said.
He further stated that PwC is committed to continuously supporting communities and key stakeholders through various activities to ensure equal and fair access to development and happiness.
Meanwhile, Founder of the New Life Nungua Children’s home Nii Afotey Botwe || expressed gratitude, hoping this mark the start of a lasting partnership.
“We are grateful that you thought of us during this season. With only a few days left until Christmas, these items will certainly bring many smiles to the children’s faces.”
“We also appreciate you recognizing and honoring us with these generous contributions. We hope this marks the beginning of a wonderful partnership between us.”
PwC’s gesture is aimed at ensuring that children are not left out of the celebrations during this festive season. The company has embarked on several other similar initiatives to support similar communities in Ghana since it started operations because of its strong believe in bettering the lives of Ghanaians.
This staff-led initiative brought festive cheer and essential support to under-privileged communities, while raising awareness about climate related issues and promoting sustainability.
