The 2026 NBA season has been a thrilling scene so far with both conferences witnessing surprise wins and comebacks.

In the the Eastern Conference, the New York Knicks have been the main force by being at the top of the Eastern Conference table since the beginning of the season, while beating in-form San Antonio Spurs in a thrilling NBA Cup final.

Nonetheless, the Knicks have stumbled into second place after having a bad run of form with a recent defeat to Steph Curry’s Golden State Warriors on the road.

Also in the East, the Boston Celtics have moved to take the second spot on the table, overtaking the Knicks while the Detroit Pistons move to the top of the table after winning four out of their last five matches.

In the Western Conference, Oklahoma City Thunder and San Antonio Spurs have developed a fierce rivalry this season with Shai Gilgoeous Alexander and Victor Wembanyama leading the charges for thier team respectively.

The Denver Nuggets have also been in the nick of things having the same number of wins as the San Antonio Spurs, with Nikola Jokic leading the team as expected.

The Golden State Warriors have been some- worth disappointing this season winning only 24 out of 43 matches played so far.

Indeed the 2026 NBA season is proving to be one of the most exciting seasons in recent years and there is still a lot to play for, as we look forward to how everything puns out in the season that seems to be the final season of arguably the greatest player in the history of the NBA, Lebron James.
