St. Thomas Aquinas SHS picked the last slot to join Adisadel and Prempeh Colleges in the finals of the National Science and Maths Quiz 2017.
The grand finale is scheduled for Thursday, June 29, 2017 at the National Theatre in Accra.
Adisadel College in Cape Coast beat Ghana National College and University Practice Senior High School to emerge winners in the first semi-final contest held Monday.
They obtained 36 points as against Ghana National’s 27 and University Practice’s 35.
In the second semi-final contest, Prempeh College won with 55 points as against Mfantsipim School’s 49 points leaving the third position to Mawuli School (43 points).
It was an all-boys affair in the third semi-final competition as Aquinas came face to face with Accra rivals Presbyterian Boys Secondary School, Legon and Kumasi High School.
Aquinas kept a comfortable lead throughout the five-round contest and finished with 52 points while Presbyterian Boys managed 39 points with Kumasi High School trailing them with 28 points.
