One of Africa’s most celebrated journalists Anas Aremeyaw Anas will be speaking at the 68th World Congress of the International Press Institute (IPI) in Geneva, Switzerland.
The Ghanaian undercover kingpin is scheduled to speak on June 5, 2019 at the event which will attract global editors, media executives and top journalists. The congress is being held in collaboration with the European Broadcasting Union.
Other top media personalities speaking at the congress include Maria Resser Rappler, Gavin Allen of the BBC, Caelainn Barr, the data projects editor at The Guardian and Beata Balogova, Editor-in-Chief of Daily SME.
The World Congress is IPI’s flagship event and a top international forum for issues related to media freedom and quality journalism, gathering more than 300 leading media professionals each year.
“I am delighted that IPI’s 2019 World Congress will take place in Switzerland, where IPI was based in its formative early years”, IPI Executive Board Chair Markus Spillmann, a prominent Swiss media expert and former editor-in-chief of the Neue Zürcher Zeitung, said.
