The Ghana Police Service is expected to meet the Democracy Hub for further engagement on their planned demonstration scheduled for 21st to 23rd September 2024 today Friday, 20th September 2024.
“The Ghana Police Service would like to inform the general public that, following an invitation extended to the Democracy Hub by the Police for further engagement on their planned demonstration scheduled for 21st to 23rd September 2024, the organizers have written back to Police indicating their readiness to engage with the Police tomorrow, 20th September 2024, on the choice of location for their demonstration.
“We look forward to a fruitful engagement with them and we would keep the public updated on the outcome of the meeting”, the police disclosed in a statement.
It continued: “The Police would also give an update tomorrow, 20th September 2024, regarding the security arrangements that have so far been made towards the planned demonstration. In addition, we would share with the public some information that has been picked in connection with the exercise.”
According to the Police, in order to help guide their communication with the public in respect of this demonstration, “all our updates will be numbered according to the order in which they are released.
“The Ghana Police Service wishes to once again assure the public that we remain committed to ensure security, law and order in the country”, the statement concluded.
