EIB network’s Ridwan Karim Dini-Osman has been nominated for the 28th GJA Awards ceremony slated for the 28th of September 2024 at the Accra International Conference Centre.

The Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) announced nominees for the 28th GJA Awards which is on the theme “75 Years of Excellence in Journalism: The Role of the Media in Democratic Governance and Elections”.

Addressing the media during the nominee’s announcement, the President of the Ghana Journalists Association, Albert Kwabena Dwumfour stated that this year’s award ceremony will be bigger and better as it coincides with the GJA 75th Anniversary celebration.

The Award Committee chaired by George-Ramsey Benamba will select winners in 36 categories for honours at this year’s ceremony.

EIB network’s Ridwan Karim Dini-Osman has been nominated for two different categories.

Ridwan Karim Dini-Osman is a multiple Pulitzer Center grantee and award-winning broadcast journalist and news presenter. His reporting focuses on global health inequities, social justice, and sustainable development. He has reported globally, including from India, Rwanda, Malawi, Nigeria, and Sierra Leone. Dini-Osman is a five-time recipient of Ghana’s National Journalism Award (GJA Awards). In 2018, he won the Lorenzo Natali Media Prize, and in 2021, the International Center for Journalists’ Global Health Crisis Award for COVID-19 reporting.

Group General Manager (News) Solomon Joojo Cobbinah was also nominated for honours.
