Member of Parliament for Bekwai, Ralph Poku-Adusei, today joined thousands of Muslims in his constituency to celebrate Eid-ul Fitr, marking the end of holy month of Ramadan. The MP participated in the morning Eid prayers and mingled with dignitaries, including the Zongo Chief Imam, leaders of the Zongo Muslim community, and executives from both the NDC and NPP.
Show of Love and Solidarity
This celebration was a testament to the unity and solidarity among religious leaders, politicians, and community members. The MP’s presence and dedication of the day to celebrate with all muslims demonstrated his commitment to fostering a peaceful and self-sufficient community.
Supporting the Muslim Community
During Ramadan, the MP also donated items such as bags of sugar, cartons of milk, and boxes of Lipton to the Muslims in the Constituency. Additionally, he donated 50 bags of 25kg rice to be distributed among Muslims in the constituency.
Addressing the congregants Ralph Poku-Adusei indicated his readiness to bring all factions within the Bekwai constituency together to collaborate on all fronts towards creating an enabling environment that provides opportunities for individuals and businesses to thrive, improve the local economy, promotes infrastructural development, create job opportunities and make the constituency self-sufficient.
