Ghanaian dancehall superstar, Charles Nii Armah Mensah, better known as Shatta Wale, has once again made history at the International Reggae & World Music Awards (IRAWMA), securing three major awards at the 42nd edition of the prestigious ceremony held in Florida, USA.

Shatta Wale triumphed in the following categories:
• Best African Dancehall Entertainer
• Best Crossover Song for “Commando” (featuring Bounty Killer)
• Best Music Video for “Killa Ji Mi”

This remarkable achievement brings Shatta Wale’s IRAWMA trophy count to a staggering nine, further solidifying his status as the most awarded Ghanaian and African artist in the history of the awards. Since his IRAWMA debut in 2014, where he won Best New Entertainer, Shatta Wale has consistently dominated the ceremony, with his blend of dancehall and international sounds making him a global force in the music industry.

The IRAWMA, which celebrates excellence in reggae and world music, recognized Shatta Wale for his unparalleled contribution to the genre, particularly his ability to merge dancehall with various other musical influences, resonating with audiences worldwide.

In his post-victory remarks on social media, Shatta Wale expressed his heartfelt gratitude to his fans, the IRAWMA organizers, and his creative team. “This win is for all of you. I’m grateful for the continuous support and belief in my craft,” he wrote, emphasizing the collective effort behind his ongoing success.

His ability to consistently raise the bar with every project, including his international collaborations, has earned him a reputation as one of the top dancehall artists in the world.

With these new victories, Shatta Wale continues to prove that he is not only a leader in Ghanaian music but also an undisputed powerhouse in the international dancehall scene.
