A 36-year-old man, identified as Kofi Bosomtwe, popularly known as Opanka, has died by electrocution while attempting to fix faulty electrical wiring in his home at Osiem in the Abuakwa North Municipality of the Eastern Region.
The sad incident reportedly occurred around 10:00pm on Friday, May 23, 2024, but the victim was only discovered early Saturday morning still clutching a live electrical wire.
He was rushed to the Osiem Hawa Memorial Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival. The body has since been deposited at the Hawa Mortuary for further investigation.
